Hive top feeders are designed to allow the beekeeper to feed the hive without disturbing bees. As the feeder can only be accessed by the bees inside the hive it also helps prevent robbing.

These hive top feeders are designed to fit under a standard migratory lid without the need for additional feeder rims.

Good feeder

Good feeder. A little shallower than I expected, and not sure what the 'feet' were really for. It fits under a gable roof as I'd hoped, but required some insulating tape to stop bees getting under the roof and drowning. Should be fine with a migratory lid - but if you're using a telescopic or gable, would recommend a feeder rim, or a spare box - or you may lose more bees (or have robbers accessing the top).
