With a large capacity of 4kg, this black plastic frame feeders is perfect when your bees need a little helping hand with food.

It is designed to fit conveniently into the hive and is used to feed sugar syrup or other liquid substitutes to the colony.

Made from food safe plastic, this style of feeder frame consist of 3 parts; the feeder frame to hold the syrup, the cap (or lid) and the ladders for the bees to climb up and down (x 2). The cap and ladder system helps prevent bees from drowning and it also helps prevent comb buildup in your feeder frame. In-hive feeders such as this also help to avoid loss of syrup from robber bees.

we had the 4kg in they would suilt 10 frame hives better with 8 frame hives you need take out two frames where ten frames would be better for the 4kg ones

They do the job, but quality is on the low side.

These hive feeders do the job, but the quality of the item is average at best. It does what it is supposed to do. I will not buy anymore of these and look for a better quality one in the future even if it costs a bit more.
