10 Frame Plastic Queen Excluder

A food-grade plastic queen excluder sized for a standard 10 frame bee hive (506mm × 406mm). The grid holes (19mm × 4mm) let worker bees move freely up into the honey supers but stop the larger queen — keeping eggs and brood out of your honey frames for cleaner harvests. A lighter, lower-cost alternative to the steel excluder.

Why use a queen excluder?

If the queen accesses the honey supers and lays eggs there, it becomes harder to harvest clean honey free of brood. A queen excluder is a simple way to keep her in the brood box where she belongs.
