What is a stainless steel honey drum?
A stainless steel honey drum is the industry-standard bulk honey storage container used by commercial Australian beekeepers and honey packers. Each 210-litre drum holds up to 300kg of honey. Made from 304 food-grade stainless steel, the drums are corrosion-resistant, easy to clean, reusable for many seasons, and suitable for storing honey, oils, syrups, sauces and other food-grade liquids.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the price not finalised on the product page?
Because freight cost dominates the total — these are heavy, bulky items that ship by pallet to a local depot. Quoting per order with destination included is more accurate than a one-size-fits-all freight rate, and saves you from price surprises at checkout.
How long is the lead time?
If we do not have current stock we can order in the drims which will arrive with our next regular container shipment from our manufacturer, typically 6-8 weeks from order confirmation. The exact dispatch date is confirmed at the time of quoting.
What's the minimum order?
Minimum order is 4 drums. This is set by the freight economics — 4 drums fit on a standard pallet, which is the smallest practical commercial freight unit for items this size.
Can I pick up from your warehouse?
Yes. Pickup is available from our Truganina, Victoria warehouse by prior arrangement. Pickup pricing is the same per-drum cost with no freight component.
Are these drums new or reconditioned?
All drums are brand new, sourced direct from our food-grade certified manufacturer. Each drum arrives unused and ready for first-fill.
What's the difference between open top and closed top?
Open top drums have a removable lid secured by a clamp ring — easier to fill, easier to clean, suitable for honey that needs to set or be inspected. Closed top drums have small bung fittings and a permanent lid — better for transport and long-term sealed storage. Both options are the same price.
