Ideal Size Assembled NZ Pine Timber Frames with Plastic Foundation

Save the countless hours you currently spend constructing frames with these assembled Ideal size timber frames (frame height 136mm) with foundation that come ready to use. 

The frames feature a 13mm grooved bottom bar and are made from high grade sustainably sourced New Zealand pine. They come fully pre-assembled, with the black food grade foundation installed.

These Timber frames are Ideal size (frame height 136mm), the top and bottom bars are secured by 2 staples at each joint (8 staples per frame) so you can be confident your frames won't come apart during a hive inspection.  

Ideal sizes frames and supers are approximately 40% smaller than the more commonly used full depth size and are for this reason much easier on the back. They are also commonly used to make cut comb honey.

The foundations are made from food grade plastic and are super durable. They can be used multiple times saving you time and money.

​​​​For best results we recommend to coat with a thin layer of melted beeswax on the surface of the foundation prior to putting them in the hive.
