WSP size beeswax foundation sheets for WSP wired timber frames. 100% pure Australian beeswax at approximately 60 grams per sheet, sold in bulk packs of 20 up to 100. WSP is a 3/4-depth size that sits between Full Depth and Ideal.
About the wax
All our beeswax foundation is 100% pure Australian beeswax, supplied by Tobin EC & Sons in NSW. No blended imports, no paraffin cut, no bleached wax. Just clean Aussie beeswax with the natural honey-comb scent bees recognise.
Which size do I need?
- Full Depth — the standard Langstroth size, fits full-depth wired timber frames. Best all-round for honey production.
- WSP (you are here) — 3/4 depth, in-between size. Fits WSP wired timber frames.
- Ideal — the smallest common size (approximately 40% smaller than Full Depth). Lighter frames, easier on the back, often used for cut comb honey.

How to install
Sit each sheet into your WSP wired timber frame and embed the wire using an electric embedder or a manual embedder wheel. The wax softens around the wires and locks in place. Bees draw comb from the embossed cell pattern faster than starting from scratch.
Shipping restriction — WA & Kangaroo Island
Beeswax foundation cannot be shipped to Western Australia or Kangaroo Island due to Australian quarantine rules. All other AU states and territories fine.

Why Australian beeswax? Imported beeswax often carries residual pesticides and antibiotics from foreign apiaries. Australian beeswax is one of the cleanest in the world thanks to our biosecurity standards.
Do I need to embed the foundation into the wire? Yes. Unembedded foundation sags in warm weather and bees will build irregular comb. Use a wire embedder wheel or a 12V electric embedder for best results.
