Varroa CO2 Test Kit

The Varroa CO2 Test Kit gives you a fast, accurate mite count without the mess or residue of alcohol wash or sugar shake methods.

CO2 immobilises the bees and varroa temporarily, causing the attached mites to fall into a sampling container. Shaking the anesthetized sample dislodges the mites for counting, after which the bees wake up and can be returned to the hive unharmed, usually within 20-30 seconds
