Ideal Size Plastic Frames

These frames are Ideal size (frame height 135mm) one piece plastic frames and are a single piece of molded plastic which includes the plastic frame and foundation. 

There is no need to spend hours building, wiring and waxing like you do with regular timber frames as these durable plastic frames come ready to use.

The frames and foundation are made from food grade plastic and are super durable. They can be used multiple times saving you time and money.

Overall dimension of the individual frame is W 48.1cm x D 3.3cm x H 13.5cm

For best results we recommend to coat with a thin layer of melted beeswax on the surface prior to putting them in the hive.

Ideal sizes frames and supers are approximately 40% smaller than the more commonly used full depth size and are for this reason much easier on the back. They are also commonly used to make cut comb honey.
