Gabled beehive lids (sometimes called a pigeon roof) are not only attractive but help keep your beehive cooler in summer and dryer in winter. The pitched roof and end vent holes provide extra ventilation for heat and moisture to escape. They also provide extra protection from the elements due to the roof overhang.

The lids are made from pine and come either unassembled or fully assembled.

Gabled roofs are generally used in conjunction with a hive mat or crown board (not included) to prevent bees drawing honeycomb in the roof cavity

Nice but arrived cracked and missing screws

The hive roof was relatively straight forward to put together, although It seems to come 4 screws short which I had to supply myself. One of the gables was cracked.

Arrived well packaged. I painted it. And it fitted perfectly on my 8 frame super.

Well made no problems

Looks great but has to Google instructions (I didn’t find it especially intuitive to put together) and there were 4 screws missing which has me perplexed
