If you don't want to build your own, our assembled mesh vented bases use this exact same 304 stainless steel mesh, ready to go in the hive.
Frequently asked questions
Does the 3.5mm aperture keep pests out? The mesh is sized so bees can't get through, but varroa mites and small hive beetles can fall through onto a slide-out tray below. Combine with a beetle trap for full SHB control.
Will this rust? No — 304 stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and holds up outdoors for years.

Good quality at an affordable price. Arrived promptly.
I've made 9 mesh bases now and this is the best mesh to use. It's easy to work with and is strong enough to handle any knocks or bumps and sits nice and flat on the base. It was easy enough to cut down for an 8 frame hive with a pair of tin snips. Highly recommended.
I didn't get the woven wire mesh for bee hives, I purchased them because they are the perfect fit for my dry gemstone trommel screens, unfortunately where I live I can not have been hives much to my disappointment. Very fast postage and packaging is great, thanks guys..... 😁💎👍
Very happy with recent purchase of stainless woven mesh suit what I need for my project will be buying more, thanks
I purchased SS wire mesh for bottom boards at a very competitive price. The delivery was prompt and the mesh was of superior quality. I will definitely buy from this company again without hesitation.
