Fully Assembled Double Beehive - 10 Frame Kit With 2 Boxes, Mesh Base, Migratory Lid and Assembled Wired Frames
Save hours of your time and effort with this complete fully assembled, painted, wax dipped double level 20 frame beehive including frames. The hive is made from New Zealand Pine and comes fully assembled.
It is made up of 2 x full depth 10 frame supers, the mesh ventilated bottom board (with cleats), telescopic lid and includes 20 fully assembled frames.
Detailed inclusions:
- 2 x 10 Frame Super Boxes - The super boxes are made from NZ Pine and feature dovetails joints for strength and ease of assembly.
- 20 Full Depth Frames - The 20 frames come fully assembled within the hive and are made from high grade New Zealand Pine. The frames are wired and have eyelets pre-installed to protect the timber.
- Migratory Beehive Lid - The Migratory lid comes assembled. The term migratory refers to how the lid sits flush with the outer edges of the bee box. They are commonly used by commercial beekeepers in Australia as the hives can be stacked close to each other on pallets or for when transporting.
- Mesh Base with Drawer - The bottom board is one of our mesh for hive ventilation and pest management.
These hives are wax dipped for a minimum of 10 minutes in 50/50 paraffin/microcrystalline wax and painted 3 times. Wax dipping is a process many commercial beekeepers use to preserve the timber for a longer working life.
These pre-assembled hives take the hard work out of beehive construction and preparation.
