Double Roller Slit (DRS) Manual Uncapper
This double roller slit (DRS) uncapper requires no heat or electricity. Frames are uncapped by a single pass through the rollers.
The uncapper is designed to work with all sizes of Langstroth frames: full depth, WSP, Manley, Ideal etc.
Sold as uncapper separately, with plastic tray or with benchtop stainless steel uncapping tray.

Great product, makes uncapping quick and less waste of wax.
It does its job perfectly and it has more reasonable price in comparison with original. Sometimes you still need to scratch patches where capping is too low for disks to cut, but it's the same for an uncapping knife.
It should be mentioned that in reality it's different from what is presented on the pictures, there are compression springs to push rod back instead of nitrile o-ring, which is probably better construction, time will show. Also, rods and disks are made of stainless steel (304, based on A2-70 marking on a nut), not aluminum.
Less wax, tidier kitchen (which is less sticky now during extraction).
Definitely faster uncapping, however it requires more physical efforts to push a frame through the uncapper.

I was looking for something to speed up the uncapping process. Decided to try it and so glad I did. Probably the best investment in beekeeping equipment I’ve made. It’s so easy and so fast. We did about 60 FD frames and all spun well and bees had the stickies repaired in two days like new. So far so happy. Only downside is you hardly get any wax back to make new foundation but the upside of less hours uncapping far outweighs this.
I am impressed with this comb decapper as it can replace the electric or steam hot knives and other time consuming decapping tools. It is useful when the comb is below the frame surface to open the cells! Less wax contamination of honey to be extracted. Easy to clean and maintain. Very robust manufacture. Well priced product with very quick delivery. Well done Bee Store.
