10 Frame Beehive Base - Mesh Vented Bottom Board With Drawer Trap

A mesh-screened bottom board for standard 10-frame Langstroth beehives, built from New Zealand pine and 304 stainless steel mesh. The ventilated base improves airflow and hive health while doubling as a small hive beetle trap.

The screened mesh bottom lets small hive beetles fall through as the bees chase them, into a removable drawer tray below. Line the drawer with Chux cloth, oil, or diatomaceous earth (check the regulations in your state) to trap and monitor beetle numbers without disturbing the colony.
